We’re thrilled to announce that Sydney Superhot 2026 is officially happening at the Entertainment Quarter, and it’s going to be our biggest and most spectacular chilli festival yet. After decades without a serious chilli festival in Sydney’s CBD area, we’re bringing back the heat in a big way!
The Return Sydney Has Been Waiting For!
It’s hard to believe that Sydney went so many years without a proper chilli festival to call its own. But our debut event in May 2025 proved something we always suspected – Sydneysiders are absolutely hungry for the heat! The well-supported first-time event showed us that this incredible city has been craving a world-class chilli experience, and we’re more than ready to deliver.
“The response to our first Sydney event was phenomenal,” says festival organizer Sandra Beynon. “We knew Sydney had chilli lovers, but the enthusiasm and turnout exceeded all our expectations. For 2026, we’re going bigger, bolder, and definitely hotter!”
Welcome to Hellfire Alley – Where the Magic Happens!
The absolute heart of Sydney Superhot 2026 is our famous Hellfire Alley, and this year we’re featuring a record-breaking 34 artisan chilli product makers! That’s the biggest collection under one roof in Australian chili festival history! This isn’t just any collection of vendors – we’re talking about some of Australia’s finest chilli artisans, each bringing their unique fire and passion to create an unforgettable tasting experience.
From boutique hot sauce makers who’ve been perfecting their craft for decades to innovative chilli chocolate creators pushing the boundaries of flavor, Hellfire Alley is where serious chilli enthusiasts come to discover their next obsession. You’ll find everything from mild and fruity habanero creations perfect for beginners, right through to superhot sauces that will challenge even the most experienced heat seekers.
But it’s not just about the burn – these artisan producers understand that great chilli products are about complex flavors, quality ingredients, and the perfect balance of heat and taste. Whether you’re looking for that perfect BBQ rub, a gourmet chilli salt to elevate your cooking, or a superhot sauce to impress your friends, Hellfire Alley has got you covered.
More Than Just Heat – A Complete Festival Experience!
While the chilli artisans are definitely our main attraction, Sydney Superhot 2026 is designed as a complete festival experience for everyone. We’ve partnered with some fantastic BBQ specialists who know exactly how to complement all that chilli heat with perfectly smoked meats and innovative cooking techniques.
Throughout the day, you’ll enjoy live music that keeps the energy high while you explore all the different vendors. We’re creating eating challenges for those brave souls who want to test their limits (registrations open in February, so keep an eye out!), and there’s going to be plenty of entertainment to keep everyone engaged from midday ight through to 7pm.
Of course, we haven’t forgotten about keeping everyone refreshed! You’ll find Hot Dog Chilli Lager by Bucket Brewery in Kempsey, NSW, and creative chilli cocktails alongside traditional beverages. There’s something quite magical about pairing a perfectly crafted chilli beer with a gourmet chilli burger – it’s an experience that really showcases how versatile and exciting chilli can be when done right.
Family-Friendly Fun for All Ages!
One thing that makes Sydney Superhot special is that we’re genuinely family-friendly. Kids 14 and under get free entry, and we’ve planned plenty of activities specifically for younger festival-goers. The kids craft area will be buzzing with chilli-themed activities, and our animal nursery provides a perfect gentle break from all the heat and excitement.
We know that not everyone in the family might be ready for superhot challenges, so we’ve made sure there are vegetarian options and milder choices available throughout the festival. This way, everyone can participate in the fun regardless of their heat tolerance or dietary preferences.
Bring Your Furry Friends Too!
Here’s something that makes us extra special – Sydney Superhot 2026 is completely pet-friendly! Your dogs,cats and even feathered friends are welcome to join the fun, as long as they’re sporting something red or chilli-themed. Don’t have anything suitable? No worries! We’ll have bandannas available for just $5 at the gate.
It’s amazing how much extra joy pets bring to a festival atmosphere. There’s nothing quite like seeing a dog in a chilli-themed bandanna wandering through Hellfire Alley with their equally excited human companion!
We also welcome back Balake our VIP Black cat who will again be granted a free VIP table.
Getting There and Getting In
The Entertainment Quarter at Moore Park provides the perfect backdrop for our festival. The Market Canopy venue gives us excellent coverage whether it’s sunny or rainy, ensuring that nothing stops the chilli fun. Getting there is easy too – you can catch the light rail to Moore Park station (just a 5-minute walk), or if you’re driving, there’s a massive 2,000-spot carpark with free parking for the first two hours.
For our inner-city friends, Central Station is only a 15-minute walk away, making it super convenient for anyone coming from further afield via train.
Ticket pricing is designed to be accessible for everyone: adults pay just $15, kids 14 and under get in free, and we offer concession, youth, and student tickets for only $10.
We’ve slashed prices to help families so a Family Ticket is only $20 (2 parents + children in tow).
If you’re looking for something extra special, our VIP champagne or beer experience couple tickets at $260 provide an elevated festival experience that’s perfect for celebrating special occasions.
