Chilli fans heading to Brisbane Chilli Festival 2022

Date Published: 06/10/2022

What a great way to celebrate Spring!  Chillies bring out the fun and fear in everyone, so come along to the first ever Halloween-themed chilli festival on Saturday 29th October 2022, from 12 to 8pm at Rocklea Showgrounds.

Meet local chilli product makers in Hellfire Alley, relax in the Afterburn Bar with some chilli beer from Sunshine Coast Brewery, chilli cocktails and chilli sangria, all with a spooky themed decor.

There’s still time to apply to participate, so drop us as line at info@mychillifestival.com.au.

The Brisbane City Council has kindly sponsored the event in 2022, as well as local support from Councillor Steve Griffiths at Moorooka Ward.

Watch some great chilli food being prepared on stage by Chef Matt Golinski and former MRK finalist Valerie Ferdinands as co-host for this session.

Lots of “How to grow Chillies” workshops throughout the day, as well as another free cooking workshop from Matt Golinski.

For the kids, we have some Giant Lawn Games, and a spooky space where they can safely enjoy some “fun in the dark”. Also there will be craft activities and regular story-telling sessions under the StoryTelling Tree Stump.

Animal Nursery and Pony Rides will be there to entertain, as well as just some lovely grass to run around on barefoot.

On stage we’ll have the four chilli challenges throughout the day, the Viking for a Day Pillion Ride Auction, and live music by Sean Mullen and Missy Vader Duo.

All in all, a great afternoon of family fun so grab your ticket today, and tell your friends to come along and get Spooky Spicy with you!
