FREE WORKSHOPS

Join our free Bonchi workshop.  Materials are available for purchase or you can just look and learn.

Cooking with chillies, or learning how to barbecue the perfect steak – just roll up to our free workshops at the advertised time.

FOR THE KIDS

Our family-friendly festival offers activities forall ages.  Kids can enjoy the animal nursery, guided pony rides, face-painting, inflatables, craft corner and simple sideshows.  Because we don’t charge an admission fee for kids, our suppliers reserve the right to charge fees for their services.

LIVE MUSIC

Great live music is always peppered in between the chilli challenges on stage. Once again, we have the guitar maestro, Sean Mullen, gracing our stage, playing some hot guitar (and even some Joe Satriani tunes).  He’ll also be joined by Sandra Beynon on vocals.

DANCE PERFORMANCES

The beautiful girls from Brisbane Academy of Dance will spice up the day with some great performances to recorded and live music.  They’ll also be helping our brave chilli challenge contestants get through the pain and on to the glory – you’ve got to love a great cheer-leading team!  Check the program for other dance troupes as they’re added!

DOG-FRIENDLY

Yes, we welcome well-behaved pets, provided they’re wearing something red or chilli-themed.  Bandannas are available from the entry gates for $5.00.

Enter your dressed-up pal in the Chilli Dog Competition – prizes donated by K9 Cakes, one of our stall-holders on the day.    Just turn up to the stage at the designated time as per the program.

We’ll even have some French Champagne on hand for the luxe lovers!

OUR CHARITY PARTNER

Lil Bug Love is a Logan-based community organisation which supports children who find themselves caught up in domestic violence matters at Police stations in South-East Queensland.

Volunteers help create the contents of the Comfort Kits which are then distributed to as many Police stations as possible.

Cindy Barden  and her daughter Phoebe are committed to easing the trauma of domestic violence and need your help to allow them to keep their important work going.  You can donate here.
