JUST FOR THE KIDS

Kids will have their own free Spooky Space – a Halloween-themed area children can enjoy some fun in a supervised, enclosed space. There will be spooky story-telling, a spooky G-rated movies on a big screen, spooky craft activities, and a great “black light” area for kids to just have fun in. Children 3-8 must be accompanied by a parent. 9-14 year olds can enter and be supervised by our “Ghostly Guards”.

LIVE MUSIC

Great live music is always peppered in between the chilli challenges on stage. Once again, we have the guitar maestro, Sean Mullen, gracing our stage, playing some hot guitar (and even some Joe Satriani tunes).  He’ll also be joined by Sandra Beynon on vocals.

DANCE PERFORMANCES

The beautiful girls from Brisbane Academy of Dance will spice up the day with some great performances to recorded and live music.  They’ll also be helping our brave chilli challenge contestants get through the pain and on to the glory – you’ve got to love a great cheer-leading team!  Check the program for other dance troupes as they’re added!

DOG-FRIENDLY

Yes, we welcome well-behaved pets, provided they’re wearing something red or chilli-themed.  Bandannas are available from the entry gates for $5.00.

Enter your dressed-up pal in the Chilli Dog Competition – prizes donated by K9 Cakes, one of our stall-holders on the day.    Just turn up to the stage at the designated time as per the program.

About the Venue

The Rocklea community suffered total inundation during the recent floods.  We show our support by hosting our event at this historic venue, the Rocklea Showgrounds.  Run by a volunteer committee, with no government funding, this privately owned venue is rebuilding after extensive damage to its site.  The more we use these historic venues, the brighter their future.

Parking

Ample parking on site by gold coin donation to our charity partner, Lil Bug Love.

Public Transport

Rocklea Railway Station is a short walk away.
