OUR GUEST CHEFS
On a mission to show you how easy it is to prepare delicious food with spice and smoke, Valerie Ferdinands (Queensland) and Liam Crawley (Sydney) will be on centre stage doing what they do best! Of course, there will be enough to share.
Valerie Ferdinands
Valerie is no stranger to spice, being of Indian heritage. She and daughter, Courtney, made it to the finals of MKR in 2019. Valerie is still passionate about food and especially chillies, and creates delicious food for her own family and lucky patrons at Brisbane’s New Farm Bistro.
Of Angl0-Indian descent, Valerie adds her ethnic foodie touch to the festival foodie fun.
LIAM CRAWLEY
With over 25 years of experience in the culinary world, Liam is a master of transforming fresh ingredients into memorable dining experiences. A qualified butcher, keen fisherman and all-round fan of eating fresh-as-possible produce, Liam is also a “bespoke” hired-gun chef. Maybe book him for your next occasion when you need to seriously impress your guests!
LIVE MUSIC
Great live music is always peppered in between the chilli challenges on stage. We welcome the guitar maestro, Sean Mullen, who will also showcase tunes from his Satriani Tribute. He’ll be joined by Sandra Beynon on vocals as together they become Missy Vader and the Dark Force, Queensland’s premier, powerhouse duo.
Philip John has just returned from five years in Europe, performing his solo improv shows as well as collaborations with other musicians.
Philip has released several albums – find them on Spotify.
