At last, Queensland has a two-day chilli festival set across the weekend of 1-2 November, 2025.
The venue will be the Ballistic Brewing Co, Salisbury, site of the 2024 Briz Chilli Fest.
“I’ve decided to create the Queensland Superhot as a sister festival to my recent successful Sydney Superhot Chili & BBQ festival in May 2025,” said organiser, Scarlett Habanero.
“As a proud Queenslander, I’m excited to be bringing another “first” to the chilli festival landscape,” she said.
A two day event makes it viable for some artisan chilli vendors to travel greater distances as they can double up on their efforts without travelling any extra distance.
Of course, this event will cater to all ages, with plenty to occupy the kiddos too (think Animal Nursery, Face Painting, Kids Craft etc).
What better combination than Chilli and Beer? That’s why the venue is Ballistic – they have ample space and a centrally-located venue that last year was brimming with happy chilli heads.
“Rather than move to a bigger venue, we’ve decided to spread the festival over two shorter days, and allow more vendors to attend, knowing their stalls are secure overnight,” said Ms Habanero.
Saturday will run from 12-5pm, and then it’s Fiery Fiesta time, with live music by Eddie Gazani band and some great Salsa dance exhibitions and interactive lessons for revellers. At only an extra $5 on the ticket price to attend the Fiesta, there’s no excuse not to stay for a few hours of great music.
Sunday will run from 10am to 4pm, allowing vendors to be packed up in time to get home in time for a Sunday night movie.
