Supporting homeless veterans in Logan – Chillogan Chilli & Rum Festival 2024

Date Published: 28/04/2024

The issue of homelessness is a growing one in almost every city and Logan is no exception.

When homelessness touches the lives of our Veterans who served their country, it’s particularly concerning.

Chillogan festival organiser, Scarlett Habanero, is known for supporting a charity for each of her events.

This year she’ll be supporting the Springwood RSL Tri-Service Sub-Branch and their ongoing work supporting veterans who find themselves homeless in Logan.  Through their donations to on-the-ground services such as Rosies, Springwood RSL can certainly benefit from funds raised at Chillogan.

As well as $1 from each entry ticket, the multi-draw Raffle proceeds and Viking for a Day Pillion Ride Auction will benefit those who need it most in Logan.

“It has always been a strong motivation to support community in all my activities, and with the spectre of homelessness becoming increasingly more high-profile in all our major cities, I’m proud to support this cause through Chillogan Chilli & Rum Festival 2024.

The event is held at Vietnam Veterans & Veterans MC “The Bunker” at 133 Meakin Road, Kingston – a wonderfully sprawling venue space with green and hardstand areas just perfect for medium-sized events.
